Send Army After Fulani Herdsmen In Benue & Others’- Angry Anambra Monarch Tells President Buhari

The traditional ruler of Obosi community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra state, Igwe Chidubem Iweka has warned the Buhari government to urgently deploy troops to communities under herdsmen siege.
He said only the Nigerian Army can prevent further bloodletting and not the Police.
The monarch told newsmen in his Obosi Palace that the herdsmen who had already attacked farmers in Benue, Taraba, Ekiti, Delta and Adamawa states, may spread their tentacles to other states of the federation and continue with their killing spree.
He described as very unfortunate, herdsmen invasion of people’s farm lands in the name of grazing their cattle.
“Nobody is against them grazing their cattle but people are against tampering with peoples’ farm lands. It is as if the placed priority on their cattle than peoples lives and lands.
“Federal government should send Army to go after the herdsmen and defeat them because they have declared war on innocent citizens and ought to be defeated”, he said.
On the recent ruling by an Abuja High court that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB is a terrorist group and as such should be proscribed, Igwe Iweka described the court verdict as biased.
“IPOB is not known for carrying cudgels, axes, knives or exhibiting violence in their operations.
“The judge that gave such a ruling should be checked because even the international society knows that IPOB is not violent,” he said.
